In the architect's concept Step subverts the canons of the usual bookcase with horizontal shelves, placing them in a staggered manner and thus creating a staircase composition. In this game of shelves conceived as steps, the bookcase also fulfills a further function, that of acting as bookends for the books positioned on the adjacent shelf. Step thus gives the shelves a continuous connection. Step is a modular system available in three lacquered finishes. Each shelf is fixed to the structure without screws and can be easily removed.
