Molteni&C D.150.5 Armchair
The D.150.5 outdoor armchair, one of the architect's rare projects for the outdoors, designed for the Andrea Doria cruise ship in the 1950s, has been re-edited from the collaboration between Molteni&C and Gio Ponti Archives. The Gio Ponti chaise longue responded to the need to adapt to the ship's environments, fluid and subject to continuous changes; for this requesting non-structural furnishings but able to be moved with comfort.
D.150.5 is characterized by a teak structure and upholstery available in various finishes. The design of the side of the structure is continuous: that is, made so that it combines the various elements that make up the armchair, namely: backrest, seat, armrest and footrest.
