Fifty years ago Mario Bellini designed the Chiara floor lamp for Flos. Today the anniversary is celebrated with a new edition and new variations. Among these is the table version: a single sheet folded on itself like a stainless steel shawl. The light source is not known and the reason, indicated in the designer's book "The designer explained to children", lies in the fact that Bellini does not appreciate lamps that show light bulbs because they annoy the eyes.

Chiara was born from a large sheet of cardboard cut out then became a sheet of steel to be cut so that it could be wrapped in a cylinder, with three cuts at the base in correspondence with the three rings that support the lamp, where the bulb is screwed.
